Hucclecote Stars v Crossbow
Hucclecoe Stars were hot off the blocks today and completely dominated from the outset of their game against Crossbow. The shooting combinations saw a mix of Hannah Jeavons, Jane Taylor and Issabelle Eaton throughout the game and with Eaton on fire netting 51/56 attemps (91%) Crossbow couldn’t stop this firing line. The centre court for Stars played with great speed and agility taking the ball to goal and with Kellie Hull and Issy Robinson pressuring at the back, Stars stormed into a 37 -19 goal lead at half time. Second half changes saw Harriet Sanderson on at GD and Mitzi Scott to C. Sanderon’s effort to close down space and intercept balls paid off with 6 clear takes in this 3rd quarter. Scott added some lovely touches on her feeds into the circle enabling Stars to build up a substantial lead. The final scoreline of 76 goals to 31 showed what a great squad effort this was with Harriet Sanderson being awarded the player of the match by the Crossbow opposition and with Eaton the Stars young GS also being acknowledged for her great consistency and availability.
