A depleted Comets squad of 8 travelled to Taunton on Saturday to take on Trident in their postponed match from September.
In freezing conditions Comets made a good start taking an early 7 goal lead 19-12 through some fantastic shooting by both Meg & Emily.
Early into the 2nd Q, due to the cold temperatures, Meg pulled a hamstring & had to leave the court. Ella Flatman moved from WA to GA with Emily dropping back to GS.  This change took a few minutes to settle but with patience outside the circle from Ella, Nia & Kate- the ball was eventually got through to Emily who was in cracking form.
At the back, Hannah’s elevation & Tees & Ehlanas marking, turned a number of crucial balls which were duly converted by Emily.
Tridents physicality caught Comets out on occasions, allowing them to close the gap to 5, to
45-40 by 3/4 time.
As Trident turned on the pressure, Comets kept their cool & hung onto s 4 goal win 54-50.
It was a thoroughly deserved victory which has moved Comets to 6th place in the table.
