This was a really hard fought match, which Storm deserved to win with the determination they showed throughout.

Nomads took an early 2 goal lead, as the shooting combination of Stella Ben Hania & Jordan Szmidt didn't really gel.

A change round of roles with Szmidt moving to GS & Ben Hania to GA had an immediate effect with Szmidt netting 17 of her 20 attempts in the 2nd quarter alone, which allowed Storm to take a 4 goal lead by half time.

At times, play through court was untidy, but with feeders Gemma Lott & Megan Walker, finding Szmidt with ease, Storm edged further ahead.

It was good to see the return of Tegen Lochead in defence, in a new partnership with Charlie Willis. This duo worked well, particularly in the 2nd half, tipping & intercepting the Nomad feeds.

With Ben Hania playing more of a supporting role in the shooting circle, feeding Szmidt well, it was mainly down to the new comer to net the goals, which she did with precision. 42/45 attempts, 93% giving her player of the match.
