Storm bounced back from the disappointment of Saturday's defeat, but made hard work of the victory, against a Rednock team that belied their lowly position in the league. Hannah and Chloe returned to the squad, along with the addition of Becky, Steph and Kirsty. In a high scoring first quarter Storm led by 15-14, with Lily and Chloe shooting accurately with good support from Mary and Steph. A tighter second quarter saw Storm increase their lead to five, as the defensive unit of Sharon, Kirsty and Tash worked hard to limit opportunities for the opposition's accurate shooters. As on Saturday, the team took the initiative in the third and extended the lead at one point to eight goals, but with errors and loose play in possession conspired to see it cut to just two, before recovering by the end of the quarter to lead by 35-31. A poor start to the fourth saw Rednock draw level, and as the game drew to a close saw them edge into the lead for a real nail-biter of a finish. However, cheered on by the large home crowd, Lily showed real composure in the shooting circle, bagging the winning goal in the last seconds of the game, netting 10 consecutive shots in the quarter and 37 goals in the game for an 82% return.
