Hucclecote v Lawn
After finally being able to agree a date for this game to be
played Hucclecote travelled to Lawn on a Monday evening due to the snow
cancelled the previous fixture.
The girls knew this wasn't going to be an easy game to win
and that if they wanted to come away on top they had to put the effort in
during the game to keep possession of our ball and turn the oppositions.
The game was close all the way through, shooters worked hard
and converted well and as the game went on mid-court started to settle. Defence
turned the ball from their shooters who didn't miss many so every steal
counted.
Hucclecote did lose a lot of possession through silly
errors, forcing balls, footwork etc however they worked hard as a team to turn
the ball and convert these chances. Changes were made throughout the game and
everyone who went on in a position performed even though some of them were
thrown in at a position they normally may not play.
Well done girls on the win with one game left!
Player of the match went to Heather Longbotham – she worked
tirelessly in the attack and played the ball sensibly as well as scoring some
much needed goals.
Team: Paige Reed, Heather Longbotham, Alicia Joynes, Annabel
