Our first away fixture of the second half of the season and our track record away was imperfect. We made a confident start against a physically strong thoroughbreds team, who had honed their game and andwe stuck to task in the first quarter. In the second quarter we found ourrthym and cleaned up our unforced error rate. Gemma Gray and HannahJeavons worked well in the attacking circle. Gemma converted >85% of her attempts.

In the third quarter Paige Reed took the court  and found gaps in the thoroughbred defence but our  team defensive lost its effectiveness with a lack of pressure on the ball carrier as a result Thororughbreds had a run of 6 goals with no reply from us and the score line became uncomfortably close at times. Unfortunately Sam Perry rolled her ankle in the third quarter, this required a 4 player change of positions.

In the 4th quarter Sam managed to return to the court and Hannah Jeavonsreturned to GA. We refocused our efforts in defence and made 3 timely turnovers and secured our first away win of the season.
