Comets v Weston Lost 52-47
The starting 7 on court for comets completely took control of their game, and played near perfect netball with great decision making , support for one another, and conversion rate. Stayley linked well and drives to the circle edge were sport on.  Betsy Willie netted 11/12 and Milly Price, back from her operation netted 5 from 7 at GA.  This enabled them to take a 5 goal lead .
Weston's shooter was a key feature in the oppositions make up, and dominated in the circle from the outset.  Coach Gilly Salter switched Jo Hutchings for Tee Idahosa for the second quarter to see if this might force Weston into errors.  Whilst it reduced their number of attempts, Hucclecote's game began to falter, and with errors creeping in and a poor shooting quarter, 7 from 14 attempts, left them just one ahead at half time 23-22 but also with a query on the Weston defence who were allowed to fall in whilst still marking the shot.  This added additional pressure to the shooters whose conversions were spot on during the first quarter at the other umpiring end.
Kate Nicholls Captain and Centre worked tirelessly, and this earned her player of the game by her Coach and the opposition.  However, the second half saw end to end scoring taking place and with Clare Carter on switching for Price, and with Hutchings, Cambell and Jodie Webb as the back unit working hard, it was still not enough to stop the Weston shooter netting 14'/14 attempts putting them into the lead for the first time 37-35, even though the Weston GA scored 0/4 attempts.
Sticking to task, Hucclecote did work hard and during the final fifteen minutes netted 12/14 attempts but it was a little too late as Weston rallied on a few late goals pushing the scoreline out to a 52-47 loss.
Whilst disappointing to take the loss, Hucclecote did at times show much patience and when on target created some magical play and interestingly saw them achieve 64 (73%) attempts with Weston achieving just 4 more at 69 attempts(75%)
With results going as expected, Hucclecote remain in a nice mid way placing and are keen to continue winning ways in their next game.
