What a tournament the under 16's had! Ready for the regionals -
This weekend was the start of Netball season, with u16's entered in  Prem & 1st Division tournament a squad of 10 but ended up with 9 as Hurricanes were in the same tournament & needed another player, they were let down at the last minute, thanks to Alixe Cook.

U16's had 5 matches, the first 4 matches were back to back this was going to be tough, first match
Bishops Cleeve Fillies, they really pushed BCF right to the end, they are a very experienced team playing together for years, u16's stepped it up playing player for player it could of gone either way, all it takes is one miss shot or one silly pass & at the last second BCF scored lost 7-8
Survivors next match this was a completely different game, they couldn't  keep up the speed u16's they were 4 goals ahead , but this wasn't to last, survivors changed tactic's in the 2half & this disrupted the flow making silly mistakes & survivor crawled it back ending with a draw.8-8
Randwick was the next match, this was defernatly a defending game, they worked so hard with tips & interceptions, with all most every rebound they converted, bringing up court with speed & it paid off, with shooting circle on fire, the movement working in attack  Won 8-4
The next was Glos Ladies, coach Ben Hania got the sqaud together to let the girls know this was going to be the tough match & physical, Glos Ladies never give up they go for every ball.
This was the hardest game of the day the girls were tired after the last 2 mathes, but never gave up, bumped & pushed to their limit to their credit the score does not reflect the game, lost into double figures
First break of the tournament the girls getting fluid & food on board before the next match.
Red Saints another physical match but the girls went out positive , working well up & down the court, units were working they dug deep & won by one goal scored at the whistle 10-9

This was a really good run up to next weeks u16's tournament, we will be full strength next weekend, u16's need to win the tournament so we can go into the regionals play off tournament in Exeter, i have confidence in this young squad that will deliver 😆
