Lightning V Randwick  Win 27-24

This was closely contested throughout which is reflected in the low score line. Randwick had the edge in the first half, leading by 2 then 3 at half time. The mid court struggled to find the shooters, which possibly was down to new combinations on court. Making a change in the circle had no immediate effect though at the other end the circle defenceLizza Mitchell & Harri Caple began to unsettle  Randwicksshooters into making errors. With fresh legs on at half time & another change in the shooting circle, Hucclecote  stemmedRandwicks flow & closed the quarter trailing by only 2.

Taking the court for the final 15 minutes determined to overturn the score, paid dividends for Lightning immediately. Within minutes the score was level, in part due to GK Harri Caple  who intercepted, tipped, rebounded & hassled the shooter out of the game!

Alicia Joynes at GS finally found some consistencey  netting 5/7. Once in the lead, Lightning played with patience, retaining possession to take all 5 points thoroughly deserved.
