Hucclecote Stars 73 v Carol Anne 26

Hucclecote played host to Carole Anne looking to increasetheir lead at the top RL2.

The first quarter was closely contended with CA working tirelessly to contain a full strength Hucclecote. At the end of the period Cote had secured 7 goal lead but still had much more to give.

During the 2nd quarter Hucclecote shooter Paige Reed dominated the circle. Her quick movement and accurate shooting saw her confidence grow. Supported by the attacking unit of Michelle DowleBeth Webb and Anna Howells-Jollthe score line increased to an impressive 34-18 by half time.

Second half changes saw a welcome return from KayleighGarbett-Roberts who worked well with Claire Richards and Lucy Werrell in defence. The girls worked hard and gained several turnovers keeping composure to take the ball quickly to goal.

Going into the last quarter the team were determined to break the 70 goal barrier which had so far eluded them all season. With Reed firing on all cylinders the feeds from Sarah Adams and Howells-Joll were finding the shooter with ease. With the focus being on turnover conversion the team converted 9 of their 17 turnovers. A good benchmark for the rest of theseason !!
