With only 6 regular U.14 A Squad members available due to illness, injury and unavailability, this weekend saw an opportunity for Emily Yates to take a step up to join them.  Playing against Old Chelts B, Hucclecote started with a familiar line up in attack with Ellie Parker and Jane Taylor at GS and GA, Emme Hale on the WA and Lucy Martin at Centre.  This proved slick and with Parker creating space for Taylor , and with both shooters on form, this created a 19-3 lead at the end of the first period.
The second quarter saw Emily Yates switch to GS allowing Parker out on to GA and Taylor playing at WD.  Defensively, with Hannah McCoubrie and Issy Robinson piling on pressure, Hucclecote continued to dominant and their lead increased to 30-5.
Further changes allowed Lucy Martin to also have shooting opportunity , and with Hannah McCoubrie stealing many intercepts gaining her player of the match, and Emme Hale feeding well, Hucclecote stormed away to a 44-6 goal lead at the end of the period.
A further 14 goals were put in the net during the final phase with Jane Taylor on fine form, and with Emily Yates also on target netting 4 from 6 in this period of play, Hucclecote continued to excel. Ellie Parker playing out at WD did a stirling job and combined with Mc Coubrie and Robinson all 3 forced Old Chelts into errors and helped their team run away with a great victory by 58 goals to 10.
Holding the top slot in the League, they are on target to get through to Regional Play Offs later in the year.
