Hucclecote Eagles v Randwick Gold (8/3) Win
First game was against unbeaten Randwick Gold. Eagles took an early lead with some great shooting from Maddie Roper. Eagles took a little while to settle and allowed a couple of goals in finishing the first half 3 /2
In the second half Annabel Cooper took the GA bib and quickly settled in to score the opener. Eva Andrews in WA formed a dynamic partnership with C Izzy Naish pushing Randwick in mid court. An extremely strong defensive end of Phoebe Gerrard as GK and Harriet Sanderson as GD prevented Randwick working their circle. Amy Cook played a dynamic WD controlling any passing out to the circle edge by the opposition and Eagles finished with an 8 /3 win.
Hucclecote Eagles v Ciren B 16/0 win
Eagles second game of the morning against Ciren B saw Amy Cook take the C bib and Olivia Garrard move to WD. The dynamic defending duo of Phoebe Gerrard and Harriet Sanderson prevented Ciren B getting ball into the circle. Eagles created a lot of chances turning over ball through mid court with plenty of intercept and tips coming from Amy Cook in C, WA Eva Andrews and WD Olivia Garrard which kept possession away from the Ciren Shooters. Maddie Roper scored 8 goals in the first half creating a 9/0 lead at half time. Izzy Naish came on as GS with Annabel Cooper still in GA, and the combination added another 7 goals finishing the game with a comfortable 16/0 win.
Hucclecote Falcons v Old Chelts A (9/1) W
Starting late in the morning the Falcon's had two games back to back. Winning the C pass they took the ball straight to goal where Holly James as GS scored quickly giving the team confidence. Tight defences from Old Chelts made Falcon's work hard to get the ball into the circle but patient circle edge play from Maddie Norwood WA and Simran Arora as C, gave the shooters the chances they needed. Jemima Ree's and Connie Trendle made life hard in the Old Chelts Circle forcing errors and getting rebound opportunity. Falcon's exited the first have 4/1 in the lead.
In the second half, Helena Cox as C created some dynamic intercepts and opportunities though mid court whilst Connie Trendle managed a number of tips to keep the ball moving back up to our goal end to finish the game with a 8/1 Win.
Hucclecote Falcon's V Old Chelts B (14/4) Win
Two quick goals from Holly James GS and Nastasha Young as GA gave the girls a confident start. Evie Davies as WD created turn overs as did Helena Cox in C. Jess Gwatkin playing WA found plenty of space and provided strong circle edge support and the Falcons exited the first half 6 /1 in the lead.
Jemima Ree's as GD and Connie Trendle played very well to get intercepts and turnovers which keep the ball moving back to Falcon's goal. Holly James continued to score well and the team won the game comfortably 14-4
Hucclecote Kestrels V Ciren A (0/12)loss
A difficult first match for our Kestrels, but they performed very well creating opportunities at the defensive end, thanks to some great tips and intercepts from Erin Pearson as GD and Esme Chance as GK. We lost position with footwork and some poor passing in mid court and struggled to get the ball into the circle with the very strong Ciren A defence proving too much for the girls. They exited the first half 0/4 down. In the second half Ciren continued to out play us in defence and mid court despite getting a few chances we weren't able to get the goals in and finished the game 10/0.
Kestrels v Ciren B ( 6/2) Win
A far closer match for our Kestrels against Ciren B, Case Lake started as GS with Rebecca Daye as GA, the girls worked the circle well and with some good tips and intercepts from Charlotte Dilks WA and Emma Clarke as WD, the girls kept the opportunities going. The Kestrels exited the first half 4/0 in the lead. In the second half Case Lake as WD created some intercepts and Emma Clarke played a very solid C, turning ball to give shooting circle of Sophia Watson and Rebecca Daye the chances they needed. Resulting in a good 7/2 win
