Flames 37  v Bath 26
Traveled down to Bath, leaving early so we could warm up & get going, didn`t start off brilliantly , waited out side for the hall to be opened, ( this sports hall has just opened last week ) what a great sports hall, the team warmed up & ready to get going.....
We knew this was going to be a hard match, Team Bath top of the table, Flames didn`t have the best start in the 1st qtr, but managed to get a 2 goals ahead, keeping the team the same, the 2nd qtr Bath came out strong & the pressure was starting to show in mid court & in the shooting circle , Flames lost the flow, not being used to the physical play took them by surprise , Team Bath scoring 9 to Flames 6 , flames was down by one goal 13-14 , Flames needed to make changes, Flames shooter was getting battered, so fresh legs mid court & shooting circle was made, this really disrupted Team Bath & now it was them who lost the flow, only scoring 3 to Flames 18, the defence circle worked as a unit, in that qtr not one error made, while up in the shooting circle with great rotation converted 16-22 after that qtr 30-17, No changes made for the last qtr, the team knew they could win,  as long as they just kept fighting , Bath came out on fire putting pressure on the attack , the error rate wasn`t that bad from Flames, but you could tell they were all getting tired, they needed to take care of the ball it was getting more Physical, Team Bath never gave up, Flames wanted it too, Team Bath won this qtr 9-7, but it was too late for them to win the match & Flames came away with a great win & now Top of the table .
