Hucclecote were forced to travel to Kent with an extremely lean squad for this re arranged match with Kent, due to a Super League double header & the FENA competition, which meant they were without 4 regular squad members.

Rosie Barret & Kerry Walsh were released from Regional 1 to make the squad upto 9 players.

Kent took the initiative in the first 15mins, even though Rose Morgan Smith, in her first start this season took an interception at Kents centre pass!

The circle defence of Jackie Gabriel & Rosie Barret, struggled at first to contain Kent's shooter who netted 12 from 14. At the 1st interval, Gabriel & Barret switched positions which had an immediate effect, both turning ball & closing down Kent's circle.

At the other end Rosie Allison was in outstanding form converting 14 from 16, supported by Olivia Beveridge at GA. The mid court trio, Morgan Smith, Steph Essex & Rachel Henry kept shooter Allison supplied with plenty of ball which she duly slotted away!

Gemma Gray coming on at GA & Walsh returning to WD, injected fresh impetus into the team, with Walsh working tirelessly to close Kents WA down. During the 2nd half, Hucclecote began to dominate, increasing their lead to 11 by 3/4 time.

With Rosie Allison continuing to dominate the shooting circle, Hucclecote pulled away to win the game 54 - 36.

Coach Sue Wainwright named Rosie Allison as man of the match for outstanding consistency scoring 47 from 55 attempts, though it was a fantastic effort from the whole squad, who all played their part.
