Hucclecote got off to a storming start taking the quarter 15 goals to 9, Gemma Gray & Olivia Beveridge shooting confidently & at the other end Gemma Fletcher & Jackie Gabriel denying the tall Oaksway shooter of some opportunities.

The 2nd quarter, Oaksway came out hard & scored 4 quick goals without reply, cutting back the deficit. The speed & strength of the mid court trio, Amanda Trounce, Steph Essex & Rachel Henry, continued to penetrate Oaksway's defence, but a number of unforced errors, allowed the visitors to get within 1 goal at half time.

A change in line up for Hucclecote, with Stacey Francis on at GK & Rosie Allison at GS, had an immediate effect with Francis taking 3 steals from the GS & Allison netting 9 from 11 shots.

Taking the court for the final 15 mins with the score 38-39 in Oaksway's favour, both teams fought to gain the advantage. With a number of errors on both sides, play went end to end & goal for goal. The final result could have gone either way & Hucclecote were extremely unlucky not to steal a draw in the final 30 seconds. A disappointing result, but a great squad effort with some fantastic passages of play through court.
