Hucclecote U14 Dragons travelled to Cornwall to take on Saints in the South West Regional League and came away with the 5 points winning 28-17 . Saints showed much improvement and with Dragons slow to start there was only one goal between them at quarter time. Utilising their squad of 9 Alex Baird came on to GA and during this second phase and created many opportunities to goal linking well with Amy Cook and Olivia Garrard in attack . Combined with an outstanding performance by Megan Knight at WD and with both shooters on form Dragons extended their lead to 12-6 at half time . The third quarter saw Saints Step up and with a new Dragons attack which included Maddie  Norwood at WA and jenny Carson on to GS the changes took time to settle . Dragons still took the quarter ending it at 18-11 up. The final quarter saw Dragons on fire and with Katya Jennings dominating in the circle , and Dragons attack Olivia Garrard and Meg Knight fed with ease as Dragons scored 10 goals in 10 minutes . Defensively Trendle and Sanderson stayed tight and Knight earned player of the match for Her huge interception rate . The final score line was 28-17 to Hucclecote and this will see then remain in 3rd place in the South West League . Their aim is to end up in the top 4 in order to gain a place in the South West Regional Play Offs where the top two from this group will then go on to represent their club and region at National  Finals . This is something coach Gilly Salter believes they can achieve .
