A re-focused Hucclecote hosted Jersey Jets looking to improve on their previous performance against Team Bath the previous week.

The first quarter was tentative for Hucclecote. The vision of Lauren Brooks at C fed the shooters well once, as a unit, we got the ball to circle edge. Still adjusting to each other we made costly errors (17 in total) which allowed Jets to keep in the game. A 3 goal lead was quickly lost with an 8-8 score at 15 minutes.

Thea Thompson took to court in the 2nd quarter at GA. This allowed the attacking unit to find Becky Tildesley at GS. Attempts on goal increased and errors reduced. Hucclecote looked more fluid through court and began to work more effectively as a team. By half time Cote had taken a strong hold on the game with the score 22-15.

During the third quarter the defensive partnership of YasHodges-England and Ella Powell-Davies continued to work well. Several rebound from Powell-Davies were converted and Hodges-England supported well through court.

Going into the final quarter we had a 37-21 lead. The return of Rosie Allison to court gave another strong target for the attacking combo of Lucy Richardson and Shona O’Dwyer. Laura Tildesley continued to have a great game at WD constantly causing problems for Jets WA. Kellie Hull finished the game at GK putting excellent pressure on Jets GS limiting her number of shots.
