Hucclecote demonstrated some great moments of play today with Sam Cook playing a superb role in the shooting circle in the absence of a poorly Gemma Hallbrook.

With only a squad of 8, the first 5 minutes saw Hucclecote take a slight lead but credit to Galmington who stuck to their task and managed to stay within 1 goal at quarter time.  The second quarter saw Hucclecote ease ahead particularly due to some excellent work in the circle between Anna Joll and Sam Cook at GS/GA respectively.  Cook's drives , positional play and accuracy aided to Hucclecote's tally of goals helping them to a 31-15 score at half time.  Meanwhile defenders Rosie Barrett and Captain Jane Hicks completely took control from the back restricting Galmington to just 3 goals in this quarter. with Hicks speed and agility allowing her and her partner to turn huge amounts of ball.

The second half saw Carly Taylor on at WA linking well with Sarah Lee at Centre.  With Hucclecote dominanting now in all areas of the court, Galmington struggled to take the ball to goal leaving the quarter score at `46-20 in Hucclecotes favour.

The final period of the game Hucclecote re-arranged their squad which saw Cook revert to GD. She again demonstrated a great display of defensive skills taking many intercepts.  With Kerry Walsh in support at WD putting pressure on Galmington's attack, and Sarah Lee and Michaela Iffil giving quick release balls through the shooters Taylor and Joll the game was secured leading to a fine victory of 56-27 in Hucclecote's favour.
