Hucclecote secured their first win of the season against a young Team Bath Tigers side wining 39-27.  Claire Richards for Hucclecote at GK was on fire, dominating at the back and taking some awesome steals. With Charl Johnson also in fine form, the defence unit including youngster Nicole Goddard and Kirsty Trueman proved too strong for the Tigers attacking end helping Hucclecote to counter attack time and time again.

Mid Court for Hucclecote shows great promise, however too many unforced errors crept into their game, although again at times their were some lightening moves through mid court demonstrating great speed and quick release of ball.

The shooting consistency from last season has yet to be found, with an under par performance for Rhianna Hallbrook netting just 61% although she had recovered from tonsilitus earlier in the week.  Rachel Aston and Rachel Palmer shared the GA and both worked tireslessly to keep Hucclecote ahead in the game netting 4/7 each = 57%.

With umpires Linda Matini and Barb Warburton keeping the game well under control, Hucclecote were delighted to pull off their first victory.

Although error rate was high, coach Liz Banyard knows that the best is yet to come from this newly formed squad.
