Comets secured their 7th win on the bounce which consolidated their 3rd place in the table. 
With a number of players missing it was a lean squad to travel to Bristol. 
Katie Pauling who plays in the clubs U16 regional squad was invited to join Comets to have back up in the squad of 8!
The home team got off to the better start with spot on shooting netting 16/17. Comets found themselves 3 goals down at the first interval 13-16.
Utilising the whole squad, changes were made & this had an immediate effect on the opposition. The extra height of Katie joining Hannah in the circle unsettled Imperials shooters who could only convert 10 of their 14 attempts. 
At the other end both shooters Meg & Emily converted with ease 15 of their 17 attempts.
Mid court the ball moved well between Ella, Katie & Ehlana providing more opportunities for the shooters.
It was the third Q though that Comets stamped their authority on the game, converting 17 goals to Imperials 8! 
Hannah & Katie took numerous intercepts allowing Comets to stretch their lead to 44-34 by 3/4 time. 
If it wasn’t for a number of unusual footwork calls, the lead would have been greater! 
An injury to Ehlana forced another team change which did unsettle play a little allowing Imperials to close the gap slightly. 
The final score 55-47 was nevertheless a good result.
