Comets travelled to Bristol with the bare 7 due to lots of other Netball commitments & injuries. Whitchurch were in a position to get into the promotion slot as were Comets if they won. It was always going to be an uphill battle and Comets found themselves 4 down at the first interval. Shooting at both ends was very accurate but Comets found it difficult to cope with the slippery floor & the physicality of the circle defence. Swopping Ella & Darcy over made little impact initially & Whitchurch edged another goal ahead by half time to lead 22-17.The trio at the back, Tee, Hannah & Milly turned numerous balls, but Comets attack still found it difficult to feed the shooters. An unfortunate collision near the end of the third Q saw GK Tee go over on her ankle, resulting in having to leave the court. The only option was for Milly to move to GD with Hannah moving back to GK. During the last Q, the 6 on court played their hearts out to close the gap, but with the Whitchurch GS hardly missing, it was to no avail, slipping to a final 11 goal loss. It was a valiant effort by everyone on court but the final score was 38-49 to Whitchurch. Player of the match was awarded to Hannah.
