Hucclecote Comets made the long trek to Bideford with a lean squad to take on Carol Anne who had come down from Regional 1.
Carol Anne used their squad of 12 to good effect, establishing a slight 6 goal lead after the first q.
The shooter was outstanding & even though Comets defence duo pressurised she converted with ease. At the other end Emily Lacy at GS was also on form netting 41/46 which gained her opposition player of the match.
Comets fought hard to stay in touch & in fact won the 2nd & 3rd Q’s by a goal, keeping the margin to 5 goals!
An unfortunate injury to captain Georgie S-P in the 2nd Q meant her leaving the court & Nadine Baird made her debut at regional level @ WD.
Comets now down to the bare 7 refused to let Carol Anne dominate & stayed in contention until the final
5 mins. Finally a couple of errors allowed Carol Anne to pull away in the dying minutes of the game. Final score being 44-55
It was an encouraging, gutsy performance from this young squad against an extremely strong experienced Carol Anne side.

Opposition player - Emily Lacy
Players player- Ehlana Drury

Thanks to Mark Flatman & Colin Drury for supporting on the bench & score table. 🖤❤️🖤
