The new look Hucclecote line up which included 5 new players in the squad started to demonstrate their potential in the recent fixture against last years winners Roman Glass.

Losing the first half by 6 goals, Hucclecote's re-arranged line up saw the mid-court line up slightly changed with Michaela Iffil moving to WD, Kerry Walsh to C, and Hannah Faulkner to WA.  This mid-court change, along with Claire Richards taking the court at GK created much more opportunity and during the 3rd quarter Hucclecote dominated  with Kerry Walsh in outstanding form turning huge amounts of ball over.
With newcomer Rachel Aston at GA playing strongly with Carly Taylor at GS, Hucclecote clawed the deficit back to 3 goals.

The final 15 saw both squads error rate increase, and whilst Hucclecote worked tireslessly, the final result went in Roman Glass's favour where their tried and tested combinations, particularly those of their GA and GS won them the game.  However, Hucclecote can take credit having created more shooting opportunities than their opposition, and with a little more understanding should see this squad go from strength to strength as the season progresses.

Coach Gilly Salter was undeterred by the loss seeing this as an opportunity to develop her squad trying out new combinations which week by week are getting stronger and better, showing much potential for the future.
