Hucclecote v Rednock (53-25)

Hucclecote started the fixture with the bare 7 having roped in Kerrie Easey from the University of Gloucestershire and Hayley Mortimer stepping into the squad. With both Kate Nichols and Toni Lowery stepping into the shooting circle.

Hucclecote started off brightly with the defence turning over a lot of ball, but passing errors in the attack allowed Rednock to stay close, with the first quarter going goal for goal until Rachel Aston pulled 3 interceptions in a row allowing Hucclecote to finish the first quarter 12-9. The second half saw a more focus from the Hucclecote players and a more steady approach saw Arnie Brown, Kate Nichols and Hayley Mortimer linking better in attack. Toni Lowery impressed at GS netting a high percentage shot rate and allowing Hucclecote to pull away to a 12 goal lead at half time.

With the Regional 2 game being cancelled at the venue, Charlotte Olley and Emma Mackenzie came into the squad at half time and had an instant impact, moving the ball at speed through the court. The defensive trio, Bignell, Werrell and Aston were in outstanding form turning over the ball and making it hard for the Rednock attack.

Hucclecote ran out comfortable winners in the end 53-25
