Hucclecote lost narrowly to Regional 1 League Leaders by just 3 goals in an exciting match which closed to 1 goal during the final 15 minutes. This was a much improved performance from their last meeting particularly as they were missing Rosie Barrett (promoted to Premier National) Michaela Iffil due to illness and Hannah Faulkner injury.

Plymouth had the edge throughout the match and consistency in their shooting circle helped them sneak victory.  For Hucclecote, the defensive duo of Richards and Stringer worked hard to contain a well drilled shooting circle, but too often the high ball through to the Plymouth tall GS proved hard to break down down.

Missing Barrett's height due to her promotion to Premier National on the same day,  the star of the match proved to be Kerry Walsh.  3 down at the first quarter and then 8 down at half time, Coach Gilly Salter made changes.  Kerry Walsh moved from WD to Centre and gave an awesome display adding quick release of ball in attack and demonstrated dynamic speed through court linking in well with Gemma Hallbrook and Hannah Williams who was back on court with her team mates for the first time since 2007.  The 8 goal deficit closed during this period to just 3 goals going into the final 15 and for the first time Hucclecote produced the form they are capable of.  Sarah Lee playing her first full game for some time, was moved from C to WD and this position certainly suited her style of play taking 3 clean interceptions in this quarter.

The final period saw the game close to just 1 goal, but at this crucial point too many basic errors from the Hucclecote side crept in. Combined with Plymouths defenders putting huge pressure on Hucclecote shooters, conversion rates dropped and Plymouth just managed to stay ahead and take the game narrowly 37-34.
