With players throughout the club missing due to Regional U19 finals, a number of different combinations were neccessary.

Kat Honeywill, normally at WA moved across to GA to join Wendy Burgess in the shooting circle. After a faulty start in the first period, Kat certainly got into her stride by half time converting 11/12.

Becky Woodhead in he first game this season, played a super WA feeding the ball with care & defending tirelessly.Mid court, Georgia Wing in only her 2nd game at this level had another good game at C, linking well with Woodhead.

The defence trio, Eleri Sewell, Meg Suddaby & Laura Mitchinson closed down the shooting circle, denying the opposition chances to convert. Throughout the court, Lightning dominated turning ball & taking the ball to goal. Wendy Burgess battled through at GS, netting 11/11 in the final quarter.

This was a good team performance from 7 players who had never taken the court together!
