Storm won a thrilling game by 1 goal against Challengers, who were 2nd in the table.

Play was evenly contested throughout most of the match, with neither team able to edge ahead. During the first half, both shooters were on form, with Maisie Simmonds converting 9/10 & Stella Ben Hania 8/10.

In defence Chrissie Jackson & Laura Wilks forced a number of missed shots & handling errors from Challengers shooters, keeping the scoreline level at half time.

Through court, Emily David, Becky Mogg & Gemma Lott had to work hard to penetrate Challengers tight marking, but by laying the ball back & re offering, Storm were able to supply the shooters. Some fantastic feeds went into Simmonds, when the attack were patient & drew the Challengers defence out of the circle.

With a change in the Challengers line up, their shooting circle was strengthened, but Jackson & Wilks worked tirelessly forcing a number of feeds off the back line at crucial points in the final 15 minutes.

With more pressure being put on Simmonds in the circle, it fell to Ben Hania to pull out some fantastic long shots for Storm to edge ahead by 4 goals.

Challengers came out hard in the final few minutes, but Storm held their nerve, keeping their own ball, to take the match by 1 goal.
