It is still inconsistencies in their play which lets this talented squad down. Today against Plymouth Pilgrims was another example of this.

A poor start allowed Pilgrims to establish a 7 goal lead in the first quarter, with a number of passing errors through court. During the 2nd & 3rd quarters, Hucclecote's error rate & shooting accuracy improved allowing them to stay in contention.

Going into the final 15mins still only 7 goals down, Hucclecote had a real opportunity to close the deficit.

Halfway through the last 15, it did look as if they might indeed pull it off, clawing their way to within 2 goals!

Unfortunately, 2 or 3 errors in the final minutes were capitalised on by Pilgrims, scoring off each one & pulling away to win by 11.

Most of this Hucclecote squad have made a big step up this season to Regional league netball & should be encouraged that they are getting better at maintaining possession against much more experienced teams.
