Hucclecote started slowly in this match with Almondsbury who gained promotion this season.

Shooting duo Millie Price & Kim Will could only convert 19/29 in the first half while the opposition shooters showed more consistency netting 26 of their attempts.

During the first 30 minutes, Hucclecote turned very little ball & looked like they were still driving around Westbury on Trym looking for the venue!!

The poor start gave Almonsbury the initiative & a healthy lead of 8 goals at half time.

After the team talk at half time, Hucclecote looked a different team, more determined, more fluid through court & at both ends, players began to perform!

Shooters Price & Will began to link well & Price netted more confidently, converting 29/33 which gained her joint player of the match with Kayleigh Garbutt Roberts.

The circle defence came alive in the 2nd half, turning ball & denying the GA & GS many shooting opportunities, where they had dominated the first half!

The final result of 54 - 40 was a reflection of Hucclecotes improving performance through less errors & more consistency in the shooting circle.
