This was not a game for the faint hearted as the final result could have gone either way, right up to the final whistle!

Bath took an early lead in the first 10 minutes, but Hucclecote began to settle & closed the deficit to 2 goals at the end of the first quarter.

It was during the 2nd period that Hucclecote stepped up, with both shooters converting accurately Millie Price ( 11/13) & Kim Will ( 5/6) With all players sticking to task of closing down their player, a number of stunning steals were taken ( Fliss Phillips, Harri Pratten & Kayleigh Garbutt Roberts) to allow Hucclecote to edge into a 3 goal lead.

Mid court, Helen Werrell at WA linked the ball through court, driving to the circle & finding the shooters well. Her performance today earned her the oppostions player of the match as well as her own teams vote.

Lucy Werrell & Kate Nicholls coming on with fresh legs at half time gave some impetus to the team, but with Bath coming back strongly in the final quarter, it was a tense last few minutes for those on the bench!

With mixed & slightly inconsistent umpiring, this was a great squad performance, showing real determination to hang on to their narrow lead.
