The Hurricanes achieved a very disappointing loss in this semi-final of the Bateman Cup. A starting score of 56-0 to the Division 6 opposition became a problem from the start. Hurricanes could only manage 13 and 15 goals per quarter respectively in the first half which meant that they had to pick up the pace in the third quarter.

The third quarter was the best by far in the game with excellent defending and attacking from the whole squad along with a high scoring quarter by the shooters.

Some excellent interceptions were made by the Hurricane players throughout the game which stopped the opposition from scoring quite often however the goal difference proved too much this time.

All the squad worked hard and should be pleased with reaching the semi-finals.

Thanks must go to Stella Ben Hania for coaching the squad today, all the players really appreciate your guidance.

Better luck next year!
