Tornadoes & Hurricanes take Cup titles!

Div. 5 winners Hucclecote Tornadoes won through to the Bateman final to meet clubmates Hucclecote Thunder in Div. 3.

With a handicap advantage of 13 goals, Thunder were always going to have their work cut out to close the deficit. Both teams started confidently, the goals going with centre passes. Thunder took the first quarter by 1 goal, 7-6. This was however the only quarter Thunder won, as Tornadoes began to dominate & take control of the game. Thunder never gave up, but once Tornadoes got the bit between their teeth, there was no stopping them.

The final result of 87 goals to 58 in Tornadoes advantage, was a reflection of a team unbeaten all season, Congratulations to both squads for a great display of Netball.

 

Hucclecote Hurricanes, Div.1 winners, met Challengers also Div.1. Hurricanes quickly cut into the 12 goal handicap lead of Challengers, taking the first quarter 13 -5.

 A change in Challengers line up proved to  be stronger & they took that quarter 14 goals to 11.

With Hurricanes stepping up a gear & changing tactics to counter act Challengers changes, Hucclecote took the third quarter 17 goals to 5.

 Challengers came back strongly, but Hucclecotes dominance held them off to take the title 57 goals to 49.
