This coming Saturday sees Hucclecote’s U19 squad, sponsored by Dragon Cement, take on the best from around the country in a challenge to become National Youth Club Champions in Bournemouth.
Having stormed through the regional round of the competition, defeating everyone with conviction, Hucclecote are in high spirits about the prospects of the finals. However, they are well aware that the competition will be tough, what with some notorious old rivals from the youth netball world, namely in Oldham and Essex Open.
Hucclecote had hoped to be strengthened this week by the return of Sam Cook, who has been recovering from a serious knee injury, but unfortunately she still remains unfit, so an unchanged squad will be taking the court and hoping to rise to the challenge.
The squad is: Ruth Unett, Carly Taylor , Hannah Williams, Michaela Ifill, Lizzie Bryant , Alice Marler, Dani Burgess , Melissa Tallon, Naomi Wilcock and Pollyanna Banyard.
Coach: Hucclecote U.19 Sarah Lee
Thanks go to Dragon Cement for their support and sponsorship enabling Hucclecote to attend this event.
