Week 7 round up

 

Hucclecote `Premier squad were in action at Leeds University on Sunday. Leeds Athletic, lying a place below Hucclecote in Prem 1 was always going to be a close contest.

Leeds had the better start opening up a 4 goal lead, which Hucclecote spent much of the game chasing down.  By 3/4 time Leeds had edged into a 6 goal lead at one point, but in a dramatic fightbackHucclecoteclawed their way back to within one when the final whistle went, losing 44-45.

Regional Stars took on Almondsbury from Bristol in a tough, physical encounter. Stars had a storming start, establishing a 6 goal lead early on. AlthoughAlmondsbury came back at them, Stars stepped up in the final quarter to take a very well deserved victory 52-42.

Hucclecote `Lightning in the local league Premier 1fought out a nail biting game with Randwick. Lightning trailed by 2 or 3 goals for most of the game, but in the final minutes worked tirelessly to overturn that lead to take the game by 3 goals, winning 27-24.

 

 

Huccecote Storm in Div 1 are still struggling to cope with the experience of other teams in this division. This squad of U 16ís are improving each week, but found Old Chelts Bullets too tough to contain, going down 26-59.

Tornadoes `in Division 2 continued their winning run, but were made to work for their 3 goal victory over OldChelts Rockets. The result of 49-46 leaves HucclecoteTornadoes at the top of Div 1.

Hucclecote `Juniors` were in action at Bentham on Sunday. The U16 B squad went down heavily against Old Chelts A, but both U 14 squads enjoyed big wins over Stroud and Challengers. Full match reports `can be found on Hucclecotes website.

This weekend, the U12ís & U 13ís are in action at Bentham & Hucclecote Premier take on Academy from London at Cheltenham College on Sunday, 11.30 start.
