The final matches before the Christmas break saw a clean sweep in the GCNA league with all 3 teams enjoying convincing wins.
A `depleted Hurricannes found Randwick  a tough contest  only leading by 3 at half time. The 2nd half saw Hurricannes step up a gear and pull away to win 46 goals to 30.
Harri Caple in her first game for Hurricannes had a great game in defence and youngster Jane Taylor coming on in the final quarter demonstrated her ability to step up to Premier level.
Storm had their 2nd win in Div 1 against Park Ladies with a convincing scoreline of 59-39.
Tornadoes recorded their biggest win in Div 2, beating Nomads 55-33. The squad played with confidence and there were good debuts from Izzy Robinson & Hannah Mc Crubrie.
In the Regional league Hucclecote Stars met Hucclecote Comets. Both teams were depleted but Stars demonstrated why they are top of the league, running out winners 55 goals to 39.
At top level the Premier squad made the long trip to Norwich in the return fixture with Thoroughbreds. Hucclecote made a confident start leading by 10 goals at half time. However a rally by the home team in the 3rd quarter saw the deficit cut back to 2 goals. Hucclecote had to dig deep drawing on all their experience in the top flight to take control of the game and pull away to win 59-47. This result moves Hucclecote up into 4th place in Premier Div 1.
The Regional U16 team travelled to Bournemouth for their
2nd match and came away with a convincing victory 62- 24.
