Well done Annabel, Rosanna and Jane

Hucclecote Talent Take on Bath

Three young talented Netball players from Hucclecote Netball Club, have impressed coaches and talent scouts enough to gain themselves places in the elite Under 17 Team Bath Netball Futures Squad:

Annabel Staley aged 15 yrs, Rosanna Hurst aged 16 yrs and Jane Taylor aged 13 yrs.

Annabel is currently studying at High School for Girls, Gloucester and is a very talented mid court netball player.  Annabel plays for a number of teams at Hucclecote, one being the Under 16 Regional side, which presently represent Gloucestershire in the play off games towards the National Club Netball Championships, to be held in Essex in May this year.

Rosanna is currently studying at Farmorís School, near Fairford and is a very talldefensive player.  Rosannaís height and exceptionally long reach, makes it very difficult to get a netball past her . She also plays in HucclecoteíUnder 16 Regionalside along with Annabel. . Both play in higher adult league teams as well.

Jane is presently a year 9 student at Chosen Hill School, Churchdown and has a giftedtalent for netball, especially as young as she is!  Her favourite playing position on court is in attack, Goal attack or Goal shoot.  Jane has been playing in year groups above her age for some time and also plays regularly in a Hucclecote Adult League team. She is a real game maker and loves to share her talents with up and coming young netball players.

All three girls are looking forward to being coached by the Team Bath Futures Coaching Staff namely Natalie Peperell and David White.

Team Bath is the premiership netball side for the SW of England and places in this squad do not come without hard work and commitment.

Asked what was the best thing about being selected for Team Bath Futures, the answer was ``Being able to train alongside similar talented netballers from around South West of England and using Bath Universityís fantastic sports facilities to better our netball play.``

You can see these girls in action most weekends playing in local league games.  To find out more about venues and fixtures log onto www.hucclecote-netball.co.uk
