Lightning with a number of players missing had to call on the services of Emily Lane & Catherine Taylor, home from Uni, to fill the defence end. It was also good to see Heather Longbotham back on court in the shooting circle. Challengers were strong & Lightning just couldn`t quite finish off the turnover ball. It was good to get a point from the loss though 19-35.

This young team battled hard but Raychems experience saw them pull away for a win. Sunday saw 2 U16 teams travel to Paignton to take part in the regional seeding tournament to try & secure places in Reg Div 1 for the season. Dragons were dominant winning all their games do securing a top spot. Panthers only lost their last game to a very strong Poole, but also managed to get a top 8 place to compete in Div 1 this season.
Regional Stars took on local rivals Team Bath at Cheltenham. This was keenly contested, with never more than a couple of goals separating the two teams. It was Bath on this occasion that snatched the win by 5 goals- 45-40.
Hucclecote national Prem team travelled to Birmingham to play Ryland. From the score line of 67-28 Hucclecote clearly dominated throughout. This result leaves them top of the Division, still on target to return to the top flight of club netball in Div 1. Shona O`Dwyer was awarded the Mizuno player of the match.
