Hucclecote A Vs Hucclecote B:

The game began well with Hucclecote A’s Alix intercepting the first pass and Laura getting a fantastic goal. Jess and Sam’s speed and strong passing helped the team establish a good lead, coupled with solid defending and support play from Alix, Emma and Kim.  Hucclecote U13 B team put up a good fight having only played a few games together. In the first half they took a while to get the passes flowing but a change in defence for the second half allowed more turnovers, resulting in a 14-4 Loss.

Laura’s accurate shooting, with good assists from Maisie saw the A Team lead by 10-2 at half time.  In the second half Kim and Chloe swapped.  While the team took a little while to get going, the B Team fought well and held their own with the score.  However, towards the end of the half, the A Team pulled further away to finish with a 14-4 win.

 Hucclecote B vs Cirencester

Hucclecote B then played their second game against Cirencester. The team started well by intercepting the first centre pass. Accurate shooting from Amy Wheeler and good positional play by Shannon Mofat meant they took a quick lead. Defence was strong with both Chloe Jones and Abi Vicary taking lots of interceptions supported by Sam Ballard. Jess Wright helped the centre court settle into play and strong feeds from Grace Gowell into the circle meant they took a strong lead, with the team winning 7-3.

The squad: Grace Gowell, Amy Wheeler, Sam Ballard, Jess Wright, Chloe Jones (Captain), Shannon Moffat, Abi Vicary

Hucclecote A Vs Lyndean:

The girls were confident after their good win against the B team, as they played their next game against Lyndean.  An excellent drive and pass from Laura helped Maisie gain her confidence to shoot after a few previous misses and helped Hucclecote gain a commanding lead.  Lyndean were restricted to a single shot on goal and Hucclecote went into half time leading 8-0.  The second half saw further solid team play and Hucclecote A ran out as comfortable winners by 18-2.  An all-round team performance, with all 8 players making their contribution to an excellent win.

Well done to all the squad! And a special thank-you to Naomi, Judith and all the families of the players for all their fantastic support!
