Hucclecote U16s win Regional League!!
Hucclecote completed a clean sweep of the league, winning both of their remaining games against Poole and Bournemouth, to make it 7 wins out of 7!

The girls picked up from where they left off last week and in their first game against Poole surged into a 13-3 first quarter lead, hitting 9 goals without reply after a fairly even start with Fran, Helen and Mary combining well to turn the ball and create scoring opportunities.  Although Poole looked to frustrate and restricted Hucclecote's attempts on goal in the second quarter, Rhianna and Lily netted 100%, extending the lead to 20-8 by the half way stage.  The third quarter was a tighter affair, which saw Poole net a few goals without reply near the end of it to close the gap, but Hucclecote still held a comfortable 27-18 lead.  The final quarter felt tense from the sidelines, but solid play from Tanya, Mary and Ella in the mid-court and accurate shooting from Rhianna saw Huccelcote close the game out to win by 12 - with the final score 33-21.  Another excellent all round team performance against stern opposition.  Sam was deservedly nominated as Player's Player by Poole for a top class defensive display and in demonstrating her versatility with a quarter in the shooting circle.

Rhianna 20/27, Lily 7/9, Sam 4/6, Fran 2/3

Their second game against Bournemouth saw Hucclecote dominate every quarter. Rhianna was in fine form netting 11 goals in the first quarter to create a 12-4 lead.  Different combinations worked well during the middle section of the game, again demonstrating the depth of the squad.  Beth and Hannah worked hard in defence restricting Bournemouth's attempts on goal, while Sam was rested.  Hucclecote extended the lead to 21-10 by the half way stage, and the team stuck to their task taking the lead to 32-15 by the end of the third with some superb flowing netball.  A final quarter shut out by the defence spoke volumes for the team's effort, with Hucclecote adding a further 10 goals to win by 42-15.  Rhianna was appropriately nominated as Player's Player by Bournemouth netting some quality shots among her 31 goals against some interesting defending.

Rhianna 31/41, Lily 11/13
