Hucclecote C - Under 13s

Sunday 28th September

After deciding to enter an Under 13 Squad in an Under 14 tournament Hucclecote Cís came across Old Chelts A in their first match. Hucclecote scored the first goal, however Old Chelts took control of the game and won 7-2.

The second match was against Randwick A. Hucclecote dominated from the start and won 14-0. A particular note must be made to the defence Becky Campbell and Georgia Wing who didnít give Randwick any opportunity to even put up a shot!

The girls form continued as they beat Old Chelts B comfortably 7-1. In order for Hucclecote to get through to the semi-finals it meant they had to win their last game, against Tommies A.  Hucclecote were not phased and put Tommies under pressure and finished the game with a fantastic 7-0 win.

Hucclecote C had made the playoffs but because of the earlier loss against Old Chelts A it meant they would have to play the winner of the other group....Hucclecote A! The girls remained determined and even managed to score the first goal and were only down by 2 at half time. However Hucclecote Aís experience came through and they were able to to take an 8-3 win.

The aim now was to finish in third position. However this now meant beating Hucclecote B! As they took the court they appeared confident and ready for action. An impressive start saw Hucclecote C score the first goal. Both Kelly Hull and Sam Taylor had been shooting well all day, and were determined to keep this up. As the game continued many impressive interceptions were taken by the defence and the midcourt players worked well together to get the ball into the shooters, who were able to convert.

The final score was 6-2 to Hucclecote C....an impressive win, meaning that they finished in 3rd place in an Under 14 tournament!

Well done to all of the girls involved.
