16 October 2008 - U13's win three out three
Well done to the U13's last Sunday 12th October

Sunday 12th October

Hucclecote vs Randwick A

The Under 13ís started the day of matches against Randwick A. It took a while for the girls to get going (however they were not able to warm up due to earlier matches on court). Despite this the girls scored the first goal and worked well to finish at half time with a 4-0 lead. A few changes were made at half time and saw Molly come in to shoot with Kelly, and Jess move back from WD to GK, allowing Becky to come on the GD. At times the court was overloaded on one side, however Hucclecote managed to win the game 6-1. A strong defence meant that Randwick were unable to have any more shooting opportunities. A convincing win, however more discipline in positioning on court is needed.

Hucclecote vs Tommies

The second match of the day was against Tommies. The same squad were used with the addition of Lucy who came on to support at half time at WD. A particular focus had been given to both Sam and Molly to work on their movement as GS under the post for the ball to be easily fed in. This they both did very well and the ball was able to get into the shooting D with ease. Both Becky at GK and Georgia on the GD continued to turn over the ball to help Hucclecote finish with a 13-0 win. Court balance still could be improved, however a comfortable win with an impressive score line. Well done girls!

Hucclecote vs Randwick B

The last match of the day was against Randwick B. A new squad was brought in and all the girls from the previous matches stayed to support. Both Eilish and Libby succeeded in scoring from their first attempt, however Randwick kept the score line equal. At half time the score was 2-0 and Kelly Hull came on to support Eilish and Hannah Mc came on at WD. India had a fantastic game and took 5 interceptions which was her target. There was some lovely movement down the court from Jo and both Meghan and Hannah Hughes were used to support in the middle. The squad continued to perform well and finally finished the game 12-2.

Well done girls!
