Hucclecote Netball Club are extremely proud to announce that both our U14 and U16 squads have secured their places at the England Netball National Club Finals.
Reaching the National Finals is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment and determination shown by both squads throughout a challenging regional campaign.
No season is ever straightforward, and both teams faced strong opposition in the Netball South West Regional Leagues. Throughout the season the players demonstrated resilience, teamwork and a real determination to keep improving, ultimately securing their places among the top teams in the country.
Our U14 Vipers delivered an outstanding campaign, securing qualification with a game still in hand. Their consistent performances, focus and determination throughout the season proved the difference, and the squad has shown tremendous growth both individually and collectively.
The U16 Dragons kept everyone on the edge of their seats right until the final stages of the season. With qualification hanging in the balance, the team delivered a crucial win in their final game to secure their place at the National Finals. It was a true squad effort, with the players demonstrating both skill and character under pressure.
Both teams will now go on to compete against the top 18 teams in the country, representing not only Hucclecote but also the South West region at the national event.
This double qualification is also a testament to the continued strength and development of Hucclecote’s junior section, with players, coaches and support teams working tirelessly throughout the season to help young athletes reach their potential.
As a club we are incredibly proud of Vipers and Dragons — players and coaches — for this fantastic achievement, and we wish both squads the very best as they continue their journey at the National Finals.
